He is also the resident physio at Team Chopper Int. A long time friend and client, we have travel internationally working together. I hurt them and he fixes them is our motto, and there is not an injury he cant treat.

I trust Boom Boom and his knowledge emphatically, testimony to this is his treatment of my wife during her difficult pregnancy and my son Isaiah ( see pic ) simply because my boy loves a massage. Michael’s work ethic and superior knowledge in human movements is why elite teams like the Brisbane Bullets went in search of his services.

Boom Boom is now a family man and like me prioritises his wife and daughter Laila above all else.

I have great respect for Michael and feel honoured to have him on my side. I thank him for the continued help and support he has given my family and my business.

Yet, he is without a doubt one of the toughest men I have ever met in my life.

Although big Rico has a softer side… He is well known for tying a ribbon around a piece of his anatomy and giving it to his girlfriend as a present…which she willingly accepted…ha ha ha

I am very proud to call Rico a good friend, not only to me but to my family and friends. He is a man of exceptional integrity and honour who has faced serious personal adversity head on and conquered it.

Rico defies the image that many have of boxers… he is intelligent, has kept a very straight nose and now into his 40s maintains a strict training and diet regime.

My 3 year old Isaiah calls him ROCCO…and loves him to death. I just call him a great mate and I know that we will be swapping punches and laughs for many many years to come.

Rico is about to leave our shores on an adventure overseas… All at Team Chopper wish Rico a happy and safe trip and our thoughts and prays are with him.

Peter was a young surf lifesaver with my brothers and I at the Surfers Paradise Surf Lifesaving Club in the 1990s.

His work in the insurance industry took him to Sydney where he dined on a lifestyle of poor food choices and alcohol, with exercise limited to lifting the remote control on the T.V.

Now in 2010 weighting almost 90kgs, Peter returned to the Sunshine state to live and work with his new wife.

His first priority was to invest in his Health and he has been training diligently with me for the past 5 months.

Now at 84kgs and dropping, Pete has established a great fitness base, and believes in the ” you cant enjoy your wealth if you don’t have your health” programme.

I am very happy to have the man simply known as “the wog” in my team, a nicer guy I have never met.

Petes discipline and commitment not only makes him a good client but also a great friend.

He has been training with me since he was a 14 years old, he is now 17. During the past 3 years he has not only grown into a 188cm 80kg gorilla, but has matured into a young man that I am proud to call a friend.

Elliot’s High School sporting achievements are simply to many to mention on this web site, but his athleticism is evident every Friday morning when he enters the boxing ring and sparrs me before heading to school.

The discipline and commitment to health and fitness that Elliot has exhibited to me over the years will set him up for a very productive and successful future in any career he chooses.

Congratulations to you Elliot for the courage shown when sparring and your perseverance to training when school and family commitments take priority. I hope that we can continue to punch and crunch together for many years to come.

Michael Grice…aka…the Godfather, Manny Pac, Michael lockyer, Iron mike.

I first met the Iron man in 1993 when he agreed to sponsor me after I won my first Australian boxing title. Iron was the owner and manager of the most successful gymnasium in Brisbane at the time.

Now almost 20 years later, through much personal and professional adversity, our friendship has remained very strong.

Iron mike is the first person I call when I need advice about a variety of subjects ranging from raising my 3 year old son to what drills I should use in a strength and conditioning session for an elite team

I sort Michaels thoughts and views regarding my change of career in 2000 from the Queensland Police Service to the Health industry. I now have a business in the health and fitness industry that is highly successful, thanks in part to him.

The Iron man and I have remained sparring partners ( both verbally and physically ) for the entire time. It is obvious that his son Elliot has gained his tenacity and will to win from his father.( The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree ).

Loyalty and respect are characteristics that are very rarely found in people in this day and age, yet I have found both in Michael and his family.

I want to thank The Iron man for his continued support, friendship and mentorship and for taking it easy on me during our sparring sessions over many years.

They both have Fruit and Veg Empires, plus big families….yet still find the time to train at Team Chopper 2 to 3 times a week.

It’s a credit to them both for prioritising there health so they can enjoy there wealth.

Phil’s dedication sees him training twice sometimes three times a week. As a
result his weight has dropped 6 kgs and his strength and fitness are
exemplary for a 53yr old.

After 7 years of continuous training and conditioning, Danger is currently 85kgs and very very fit.( at 50 years of age ).
